Cloud Platform AMP 360 Guide - Cloning a Template

Updated over 2 years ago

Template cloning creates an exact replica of the source template. This will copy all configurations from the original template including the template’s applications, parameters, and any template configurations.

Cloning a template can be useful when you want to quickly create a copy of a template that is in use by production terminals, but want to make some modifications to the template parameters for another set of deployments/testing.

  • Select the Templates tab located on the Estate Management sidebar to generate an updated template list.

  • Find your template and press the Menu button located on the far right-hand side of the template list. A drop-down menu will be generated.

  • Select Clone Template from the drop-down menu.

  • From the Clone Template window, modify the cloned template’s name and press Save to finish cloning the template.

The template name must be unique per client and all sub-clients.

  • A toast will be shown to confirm the template was successfully cloned, and the new template will be displayed in the template list.
