This guide is for connecting an AMP Bridge to a AMP8200-DO using a USB Host to Host cable.
You will not be able to do this without the following items:
Setup
To complete the setup, there are three main steps. The terminal will need to be setup on 1) Business App portal, 2) AMP360 and 3) Connect the cables to both devices.
1) Business App Portal
Talk to the provider of your business app to setup the payment gateway for AMP Payments. They should be able to walk you through the configuration necessary on their portal to connect the AMP8200-DO to the AMP Bridge.
In the settings on the business app portal, please make sure the connection type is set to USB.
2) AMP360
Setup the following terminal parameter to USB in AMP360. Please make sure your terminal is setup in AMP360 before proceeding.
Name | Tag | Value |
Communication Media Type | SETTING.MEDIATYPE | USB |
In AMP360, go to terminals. Search or located your terminal using the Serial Number.
Select the Menu (three lines hamburger menu on the right) and then select View Parameters.
Search for the parameter called Communication Media Type. Change it to USB and save.
Update you terminal parameters by rebooting or doing a Check for Updates for the changes to take effect.
3) Connect the AMP Bridge to the AMP8200-DO
Use the Host to Host cable to connect the AMP Bridge to the AMP8200-DO.
Connect one end to any of the USB ports on the AMP Bridge. The other end goes to the AMP8200-DO and there is only 1 USB port.
